Greece is due to the special geographical position, a key destination for thousands of refugees and immigrants. Areas such as Mytilene, Kos, Patmos, Agathonisi, Samos, Leros, Evros, and many other sea and land borders are often entry points in our country which, because of inadequate infrastructure, are unable to help these specific people solve everyday issues of living, as well as health issues and medical care. Doctors of the World knowing the difficulty of access for disabled people in health, as well as the difficulties they may encounter on their daily needs, arrange to be at their side giving them medical care, psychological and social support and material goods as food, blankets, etc. These people because of the adverse and sometimes inhumane living conditions, under which they are forced to survive this, they would desire a port of salvation. In many cases, our country is just one station, for subsequent access at the border of another state. This transition does not often take place resulting in the necessary accommodation in Greek territory for an unknown period.
