Environmental awareness action in Alimos
A group of scouts from France (EEIF) visited Médecins du Monde Greece, where they had the opportunity to learn about the work of MdM-Greece.
As part of their planned visit and in cooperation with the Municipality of Alimos, the scouts participated in an environmental information activity of MdM-Greece at a beach in Alimos. MdM-Greece and the French scouts distributed to the people ecological information leaflets on the protection of the environment and thus the protection of the health of citizens, as well as ecological ashtrays.
At the same time, they visited the Social Grocery of Alimos where they helped in the packaging of food which is given to vulnerable people in need, and were informed about the social policy of the Municipality.
Finally, shortly before their departure, the French scouts visited the social accommodation facilities of MdM-Greece where they made sweets which they served to the beneficiaries.
