O.D.I.SO.S: Educational seminars

To strengthen the reception conditions for refugees from Ukraine and other countries in Greece

Doctors of the World invite professionals and volunteers who are active in helping refugees and more broadly in the field of reception of third countries citizens in Greece to register for the training seminars of the O.D.I.SO.S. Program.

In particular, the content of the educational seminars is divided into two sections:

The first concerns protection policies and includes ways to protect and safeguard vulnerable people – that is, protection from gender-based violence and safeguard policies in reception structures
The second section focuses on the humanitarian code and includes individual topics on humanitarian and democratic values, peaceful coexistence and the formulation and implementation of programmatic actions in emergency situations.

The program of educational seminars is structured as follows:

SECTION 1 – PROTECTION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES – Gender-based violence. Other safeguard policies

  • Thursday 26.01.2023 – Εducational seminar (Main building of DOCTORS OF THE WORLD in Athens) Starts at 9.30 am. Duration: 6 hours
  • Monday 30.01.2023 – Online seminar starts at 9.30 am Duration: 6 hours
  • Tuesday 07.02.2023 – Educational seminar (Main building of DOCTORS OF THE WORLD in Athens) starts at 9.30 am. Duration: 6 hours
  • Thursday 09.02.2023 – Online seminar Starts at 9.30 am Duration: 6 hours

 

SECTION 2 – HUMANITARIAN AND DEMOCRATIC PRINCIPLES – Peaceful coexistence. Design and implementation of programs in conflict environments

  • Tuesday 17.01.2023 – Educational seminar (Main building of DOCTORS OF THE WORLD in Athens) starts at 9.30 am. Duration: 6 hours
  • Monday 23.01.2023 – Educational seminar (Main building of DOCTORS OF THE WORLD in Athens) starts at 9.30 am. Duration: 6 hours
  • Wednesday 25.01.2023 – Online seminar starts at 9.30 am Duration: 6 hours
  • Wednesday 01.02.2023 – Online seminar starts at 9.30 am Duration: 6 hours

Participation is free, but priority will be given.
