Mitigating health risks during the Covid-19 pandemic

The project focuses on improving the wellbeing of vulnerable adolescents and young people living in temporary housing and rehabilitation centres as part of mitigating the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on their daily lives. The target population consists of three different groups: a) unaccompanied adolescents and young people seeking international protection in Greece b) children and young people with disabilities living in rehabilitation centres c) their caregivers and “frontline” staff.

The project aims to promote health and provide psychosocial support to the above-mentioned groups during the particularly difficult phase of the Covid-19 pandemic. The action includes mapping of psychosocial needs related to the impact of Covid-19 and distribution of protective equipment (PPE) and information material to the structures and vulnerable young people. More specifically, the project implements: health promotion activities, thematic discussions and workshops to map needs and exchange views on the psychosocial impact of Covid-19 on vulnerable young people, provision of psychosocial support services.
